Employee Benefits System Administrator

Summary

The Benefits System Administrator is responsible for the setup and ongoing support of clients’ benefits enrollment platforms via clients HRIS/Payroll system or CMR sponsored benefits enrollment site EASE. Effectively manage connections projects in various stages of implementation. Provide technical guidance on account structures, analyze and review test files, and successfully create new coding/mapping jobs for each file. Work with internal and external stakeholders to effectively resolve benefit set up, data, and coding discrepancies. Drive the connections projects by using project management and problem solving skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

HRIS/Benefits Module Setup:

  • Responsible for coordinating the setup between client, broker, insurance carrier and HRIS/Benefits Module
  • Gather all client plan related data (rules, rates, eligibility etc.)
  • Obtain HRIS/Benefit Module plan implementation templates and complete using client data
  • Ensure most up to date employee census and current enrollment status data is uploaded into HRIS/Benefit Module
  • Coordinate between insurance carrier and HRIS/Benefit Module to establish electronic file feed (EDI and API) transfers of eligibility
  • Analyze discrepancy reports to correct any discrepancies in test files between insurance carrier and HRIS/Benefits Module
  • Client/Prospect HRIS System Configuration Audit (When onboarding new clients currently using HRIS/Benefits Module):
  • Gather documentation from insurance carriers/client related to plan rules, rates, eligibility, etc.
  • Review client current site configuration in HRIS benefits module and compare against plan details.
  • Provide a report of all inconsistencies between configuration in HRIS and plan details. Provide recommendations to update HRIS system accordingly

Client/Prospect Data Audit:

  • Troubleshoot system synch discrepancies related to enrollment, effective dates, plans, premiums, deduction amounts, etc. in HRIS/Benefits module vs HRIS payroll vs Carrier Data.
  • Provide recommendations to update records/data in applicable systems. Compare Carrier bills against self-bill reports in HRIS/Benefits module.

Qualifications:

  • Highly experienced with Microsoft Office, Excel proficient
  • Experience with project management software, ASANA preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Experience:

  • 1+ years’ experience in HRIS role
  • Basic Project Management Skills
  • Excellent Time Management, Organization and Communication Skills
  • Background in data transfer
  • HRIS/Benefit Module Background Preferred

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 depending on experience
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Group Health & Dental 100% paid by CMR for employee
  • 401k program – CMR has historically contributed 3% of total compensation
