Senior Client Service Representative - Property & Casualty

The Property & Casualty Senior Client Service Representative position is to assist Account Managers, Account Executives and Brokers in the daily servicing of commercial business insurance clients of CMR Risk & Insurance Services, Inc. with little to no involvement from the Account Manager or Account Executive.

DUTIES & RESPONIBILITIES

·Issuing certificates of insurance
·Requesting updates on claims and obtaining loss runs
·Reviewing issued policies for accuracy
·Processing Policy Changes (change request, endorsement follow up and review)
·Obtaining updated client exposures for marketing purposes
·Issuing and extending temporary proofs of insurance
·Issuing Auto ID Cards
·Electronic file set up and file content scanning
·Preparing submissions to marketplace
·Reviewing and negotiating coverages and premiums with insurance companies
·Preparing proposals and recommendations of insurance coverage to clients
·Reviewing contracts for insurance requirements and providing recommendations/modifications
·Conducting claim reviews with clients (provide status, reason for status, action plan on claims)
·Billing clients and following up on payments
·Meeting with clients to present renewals with broker or Account Executive involvement
·Taking self-study classes on personal time to expand insurance knowledge

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

College-level education
2-5 years of insurance experience Current
Insurance License

The role at a glance:

The Employee Benefits Account Manager position is to assist Account Executive in the daily servicing of clients of CMR Risk & Insurance Services, Inc. with little to no broker involvement while overseeing a book of business.

What you can expect to do:

  • Strategically plans, coordinates, and executes all aspects of client renewals, including pre-renewal meetings, renewal presentations, open enrollment sessions, and post-renewal audits.
  • Manages the servicing of a designated book of business, ensuring seamless marketing, claims, and administration processes, with ongoing guidance and support.
  • Effectively manages and prioritizes multiple tasks to ensure the timely and efficient fulfillment of diverse client needs.
  • Promotes timely resolution of client issues and provides daily customer service to accounts.
  • Prepares and submits RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and creates presentations for bid.
  • Establishes, develops and maintains relationships with Clients, carriers and vendors.
  • Configures and manages benefit system administration platforms, including EASE and Employee Navigator.
  • Monitor and research market trends, carrier product offerings and information that will increase their knowledge of the insurance industry, our clients and market verticals.
  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment when providing related client guidance.
  • Plans for contingencies and demonstrates effective and timely decision making, using business knowledge and data to take appropriate risks.
  • Understands and interprets compliance and state and federal legislative issues, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ACA (all that apply).
  • Comprehends, interprets, and explains Summary Plan Descriptions, SBCs, Plan Document filing requirements, and other client-related compliance materials.
  • Utilize Asana to track project progress, manage tasks, and collaborate with the team to ensure deadlines are met and projects are completed efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates in BenefitPoint including Benefit plan information, rates, revenue and commission splits.

What sets you apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience showing increasing responsibility directly related to the performance of the above duties or a high school diploma/GED with 7 years of industry experience showing increasing responsibility directly related to the performance of the above duties.
  • Current Life, Health and Accident license required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Familiarity with BenefitPoint or similar Management System.
  • Experience with Asana and Worldox is a plus.

The role at a glance:

As a member of the P&C team, the Account Manager I is responsible for managing more complex accounts while collaborating closely with Sr. Account Managers or Account Executives. This position also marks the beginning of leadership responsibilities, including mentoring junior staff, delegating tasks, and improving team workflow efficiency. With a strong focus on problem-solving, coverage adequacy, and a consultative approach to client service, this position sets the foundation for continued growth in account management and people management.

What you can expect to do:

  • Independently manage a book of business, acting as the main point of contact for clients. Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs, and ensuring satisfaction through timely responses and proactive communication.
  • Oversee the end-to-end marketing process, from preparing submissions and collecting accurate client information to securing quotes, finalizing renewals, and facilitating account binding in the system.
  • Ensure all required coverages are in place, appropriately marketed, and renewed on time. Collaborate with underwriters, carriers, and other teams to deliver seamless service and resolve client issues efficiently.
  • Evaluate client risks, provide tailored coverage recommendations, and guide clients through coverage comparisons using tools like spreadsheets.
  • Manage the processing of endorsements, issuance of certificates, and proof of insurance, ensuring all post-bind activities are executed accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage client billing processes, address billing inquiries, and keep internal accounts receivable reports up to date.
  • Support client retention by ensuring renewals are processed timely, and client requests are addressed promptly.
  • Mentor junior staff by providing guidance, support, and industry knowledge to help develop their skills and confidence.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Account Manager or Account Executive on technical questions and review complex client issues when necessary.
  • This role serves as a step toward people management. You will have the potential to manage 1 CSR, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day responsibilities.
